William "Van" Howell

William “Van” Howell, 82 of Lisle passed away at home on Sunday, May 16, 2021 with his family by his side.  He was predeceased by his parents, William E. & Beatrice Howell.  He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Howell, daughter, Lisa (Howell) Smith, son, Mark (Raquel) Howell, Favorite son-in-law, Michael Smith, faithful pet Barney, grandchildren; Brittani, Brianna (Jake) Linsey, Karlee (Kyle), sister, Winona (Bob)  Verburg, and sister-in-law, Maureen Price.  He was a member of Killawog Methodist Church and the Lions Club.

Bill was a proud and humorous man.  His 4 grand daughters were the apple of his eye.  He loved golfing, boating & his gardens.  The family would like to thank Dr. Eder for his care through the years, the staff at Lourdes Hospice, and Pastor Mary Ann Taylor.  He loved & was loved by his family very much.  The family requests that donations be made to the Killawog Methodist Church, 615 Jennings Creek Road, Marathon, NY   13803. 

The family will receive friends at Sunset Memorial Services, 2659 Main Street, Whitney Point on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 11 AM until service time at Noon with Mary Ann Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.   Arrangements are in the care of James Shara.
