Robert C. Bird, 87, of Whitney Point died on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.  He was predeceased by his wife, Marie.  He was the son of Carlton and Anne Bird.  He is survived by his children; Darrell (Carolyn) Bird, MA, Denise (Don) Barbin, NC, James (Lori) Bird, AZ. 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister, Betty (Ken) Brown, many nieces, and nephews.  Bob was a retired employee of NYSEG, longtime treasurer of the Whitney Point Methodist Church,  over 30 year member and Past Master of Point of Light Masonic Lodge and had a long history of service to the community.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Sunset Memorial Services, 2659 Main Street, Whitney Point, NY on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 4:30-6:30 pm. A Masonic service will take place Thursday at 6:30pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11 AM from the Whitney Point United Methodist Church, Collins Street, Whitney Point, NY.   Masks required for viewing and funeral. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Endowment Fund of United Methodist Church, P.O.
