Rexford "Pete" L. Lord

Rexford “Pete” L. Lord, 91, of Lisle, NY passed away on Wednesday November 17, 2021. He is predeceased by his parents, Worlie  & Jean Sparrow; sisters, Betty Simmons, Marge Brelish, Ramona Forkey, Grace Fabian, Alma Coon; brothers, Orville Sparrow, Ralph Sparrow; sons-in-law, Henry Dedrick  and John LaFountain. He is survived by his wife Mabel Lord; children, Connie Dedrick, Randy lord, Rexann Parrotti; step-daughters, Becky Sheppard, Beth Reese, Amanda (Joe) Koplik, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a welder for 50+ years and retired from Raymond Corp. after 26years. Born in Unadilla, NY January 28, 1930 he later moved to Lisle, NY, he was a Corporal in the Marines serving from 1948-1952 during the Korean War and participated at the Inchon Landing and was a member of Korean War Veterans of The Southern Tier. He was a NASCAR fan, local dirt track driver, hunter, gardener, card player, liked travelling, camping, Marine Reunions and most importantly enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones. The family will receive friends at Sunset Memorial Services LLC 2659 Main St. Whitney Point, NY on Tuesday November 23, 2021 from 10am until service time at 11 am with Rev. Bill Haynes officiating. Full Military Honors will be observed in Center Lisle Cemetery following the service. Donations in Rexford's name can be made to Toys for Tots. Arrangements are in the care of James Shara.
