Reverend James D. Hundley went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2024. He was born in Alma, Michigan on February 9, 1946. He was the son of the late OD and Margaret Hundley. He was also predeceased by his son John Mark Hundley; father-in-law John Ellis and brother-in-law Bill Ellis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Pamela.
Also surviving are his children; James (RaeLynn) Hundley; Rebecca (Raymond) Coury; Melinda (Kevin) O’Brien; James R.J. Hundley and Roslyn Boyce. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His Brothers Tom (Karen) Hundley and Rodney Hundley.
Mother-in-law Jean Ellis; Brother-in-law Steve (Laurie) Ellis; Sister-in-laws Lisa (Rich) Hand and Louella Stanley.
Jim moved to New York State in 1965 to begin his ministry. He has been a very faithful servant to several different churches over the years in PA and NY. Early in his ministry he was the director at Deer Trail which was a camp for intercity children to experience the country living setting. His final ministry has been at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Polkville for the last 32 years. He retired from United Parcel Services after 30 years of service.
Jim was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fly fishing in Michigan with his sons and brother. He spent many hours at the shooting range. He was a pilot and owned his own private plane for many years.
Jim was a deeply spiritual man who shared God’s love with others. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and was loved and admired by many. The impact of Jim’s life will be felt for many years to come.
The family will receive family and friends for visitation from 12PM to 2PM on Sunday, June 30th at Emmanuel Baptist Church 2267 Ridge Road, McGraw, NY. The Celebration of Life will immediately follow the visitation.
