Ralph A. Jackson, 66, of Whitney Point, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2022. He is survived by his parents, Russell and Joyce (Barnes) Jackson, his sisters Marilyn (Jeff) Mason and Linda Moore, his brother Gerry (Yvonne), his sons Andy (Melissa), Lewis (Bobbi Jo); four beautiful grandchildren, Andrea, Nate, Orlo and Lucas; and former wife and close friend, Nancy. Also, several nieces, nephews and other members of his extended family.
Ralph owned and operated Barnes Construction for over 30 years and was an extremely skilled equipment operator. His focus was on excavating and residential construction, setting up homes all over Broome County and surrounding areas, often with his sons working by his side.
He kept the business activity going during the winters by plowing driveways and parking lots all around his community.
In addition to his business, Ralph spent his time volunteering as a member of the Glen Aubrey Fire Dept. for over 20 years.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 29, 10am-1pm at Sunset Memorial Services. There will be a private burial.
