Patricia A. Sweeney

Patricia A. Sweeney, 71, of New York, New York (Hell’s Kitchen) died at home with her family on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 after a long brave battle with cancer.  She was predeceased by Eleanor Steigert (Mother), Arthur Steigert, Sr. (Father), and Daniel Boylan (Beloved Uncle).  She is survived by daughters; Maureen Forshee (Justin), Karen Cummings (Jim), Kristen Majerski (Damian), Proud Grandma to 5 grandchildren; Jack, Christian, Riley, Brock, Chase, brother, Arthur Steigert, Jr. (Karen)- more like a sister!, 2 nephews, Kevin Steigert (Marissa), Daniel Steigert, great nieces, Kayleigh and Liliana, great nephew, Liam.  She was proud of the work she did at Western Suffolk BOCES (Secretary), Girl Scout Leader for over 20+ years, involved in PTA (Copiague Schools) and worked campaign election polls. She enjoyed Bingo, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.  Never missed a week of playing numbers.  Lifelong love of basketball- played and coached.  No services will be held.
