Melvin Lewis Wescott, 74, of Lisle, NY, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. Born February 10, 1946, Melvin was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Howland Wescott of Lisle, NY, parents, Nathaniel and Beatrice Wescott of Whitney Point; Brothers, Donald Wescott of Hallstead, PA, Gordon Wescott of Lawton, PA; Duane Wescott of Johnson City, NY and Terry Wescott of Whitney Point, NY.   Melvin is survived by,1 son, Alvin (Michelle Micha) Wescott,  grandchildren, Mia Lou Wescott, who he loved visits from and buying snacks for, Abigail Frost, of Smithville Flats, Dylan Iversen of Newark Valley and Jake Gabello of Tennessee; 1 sister, Eloise Wescott of Whitney Point, NY; brothers, Kenneth (Lena) Wescott of Hallstead, PA and Roger Wescott of Marathon, NY; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Carol Roadcap of Apalachin, Larry (Nancy) Brainard of St. Petersburg, FL and Steve Marks of Lisle, NY.
Melvin enjoyed hunting, golfing, bowling, playing softball, watching NASCAR, old TV shows and was known to many for his famous BBQ Pig Roasts. Melvin was also a past volunteer fire fighter for the Whitney Point Fire Department.
