Mary Lou (Nechwedowich) Windsor Obituary

It is with heaviest of hearts, we share the passing of Mary Lou (Nechwedowich) Windsor.  She passed peacefully on August 1, 2024.  Mary Lou was born on August 8, 1937, in Itaska, NY.  She graduated from Whitney Point High School in 1955 where she excelled in sports.  She spent some time in California and then settled in Rochester, NY where she met her future husband, John.  They were married in 1986.  When they retired in 1992. They moved to the Whitney Point area to be closer with family.  Mary Lou is survived by her devoted and loving husband John; stepson John Jr. (Denise), sister Jean Ellis and three brothers William (Janine), twins David and Daniel (Phyllis) and many nieces and nephews, two of which she had a very special bond with, Pam Hundley and Lisa Hand.  Special friends Keith and Denise Wilson and many friends from the 30 winters they spent in Florida.  Mary Lou enjoyed time gardening and planting flowers.  She was an avid New York Yankees fan.  She loved her family and was always concerned for the happiness of those around her.  She will be greatly missed.  A Memorial service will be held at Sunset Memorial Services, 2659 Main Street, Whitney Point on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Noon until service time at 2 PM. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Whitney Point Methodist Church at 7311 Collins Street, Whitney Point, NY  13862 or Mercy House of the Southern Tier at 212 N. McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY   13760.
