Mary Ellen Docalavich

 Mary Ellen Docalavich, 83, of Whitney Point, NY, passed away on May 4, 2024. She was known for her love of car racing, playing slot machines, board games, enjoying sweet and salty treats, and riding her lawn tractor while basking in the warm weather to maintain her always enviable tan. Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laurie & Chris Yezzi, grandsons Michael & David Yezzi, granddaughter Christina Yezzi, sisters Sandy Brick and Susie Salt, sister-in-laws Diane Ferri, Pamela Docalavich Hiras, Kathy Smith, Mary Ellen Docalavich Juttner, brother-in-laws Edward, Michael, Thomas, Bob, and Ronald Docalavich, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband John J Docalavich Jr, son David J Docalavich, father Donald Springer, mother Barbara Springer, father-in-law John Docalavich Sr, and mother-in-law Frances Docalavich. Mary worked as an office manager for United Auto Parts before transitioning to manage a large apartment complex. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in Mary's memory.
