Mary A. Wilcox

Mary A. Wilcox, 89, of Whitney Point passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.  She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph, parents, Anthony (Stella) Wegrzynski-West, brother, Walter Wegrzynski, son-in-law, Ted Pantle, brother-in-law, Walt Foley and step father Bob West.  She is survived by her children; Carol Pantle, Joyce (Chris) Lynch, Barbara (Don) Lockett, David (Ken) Wilcox, Brian (Renee) Wilcox, 8 grandchildren, Mark (Amy) Bernard, Melissa (Seath) Hurbanek, Karen (Jim) Roat, Jeffrey (Veronica) Lynch, Phillip (Talibah) Ford, Joe Wilcox, Shelby (Shaun) Wilcox, Sam Wilcox, 4 step-grandchildren; Virginia, David, Tammy, Ted Jr. Pantle , 9 great grandchildren; Eliana, Stephanie, Kathlyn, Christopher, Mason, Sophia, Jacob, Gavin, Alyssa.  Also, survived by 4 sisters, Helen (Charlie) Halpin, Marcia Wegrzynski, Patricia Foley, Louise West, special friends, Lucille Roberts, Edna Vanderburg, Vickie (Pat) Tino, Nancy (Dick) Alston, special dog, Buddy, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary retired from the Whitney Point School Cafeteria, was a member of the Whitney Point Fireman’s Auxiliary, Cortland and Broome Fire Auxiliary and was employed at the Whitney Point School cafeteria.  Mary loved animals, playing pinochle and hosting holiday meals.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10 AM. At Sunset Memorial Services, 2659 Main Street, Whitney Point, NY.  The family will receive friends at Sunset Memorial Services, Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 2-4 PM.  A special Thank You to Cortland Hospicare and Cortland Park Nursing Home.
