Mary Ellen Collins, 82 of Upper Lisle, New York, passed away on August 5, 2021 in Tully, New York, at home, with family.

Mary Ellen Collins was born in Endicott, New York to Florence and Thomas Graham on July 27, 1939. Mary Ellen married James Collins on November 30, 1963 in Endicott, New York. She graduated from Michigan State University and was a social worker with Catholic Charities prior to becoming a mother. Mary Ellen Collins believed in life-long learning and received her Master of Arts from SUNY Binghamton in 1980 and continued to take classes at Binghamton University for many years. Mary Ellen was extremely active in the community and was also was a founding member of the PTA in the Whitney Point School district. Mary Ellen opened an antiques and gifts store in the 1970’s called “Heritage Carriage House”. Mary Ellen also started a school called the “Heritage Upper Lisle Rural School”. Additionally, Mary Ellen ran a bed and breakfast out of the family home in Upper Lisle for many years called “Our Heritage Bed and Breakfast”. Mary Ellen Collins touched the lives of many people. She found meaning in many things and wanted to share her experiences and love with others.

Mary Ellen Collins is preceded in death by James C. Collins (husband), Michael J. Collins (Son), Florence Graham (Mother) and Thomas Graham (Father).

Mary Ellen Collins is survived by Bridget E. Collins (daughter), Timothy C. Collins (son) and wife Judy Collins, Matthew E. Collins (son) and wife Brandi Collins, Patrick W. Collins (son) and wife Sara Collins, Joseph A. Collins (son) and wife Jenneth Collins and John J. Collins and fiancée Amanda Shaw, James Graham (brother), Helen M. Karaim (sister) and her husband Stephen Karaim. Grandchildren: Jessamy Klapper, Christopher Klapper, Elizabeth Klapper, Benjamin Klapper, Nicholas Collins, Zachary Collins, Taryn Collins, Joel Collins, James Patrick Collins, Chase Collins, Jacob Collins, Jia Collins, Josie Collins, Jaxen Collins, Chloe Collins and Noah Collins. Great Grandchildren: Noelle Collins, Theo Collins and Anderson Collins
