Mary J Clinton, 54, of New Milford, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 26th, surrounded by her family. After battling with stage VI cholangiocarcinoma for 18 months, she was called home to be with the Lord. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is in a better place and will always be with them in spirit. She leaves behind her soulmate and husband, Greg, and the two loves of her life, Emma and Mitchell. Mary is also survived by her mother in law, Sally Carr, two brothers, Bill (Heather) and Edward (Samantha), as well as several nieces and nephews, and many friends who were like family. Mary was born in New Jersey on July 23rd, 1967 to her late parents, Warren and Juliana Ditzel. She graduated from Blue Ridge High School in 1985 and went on to complete her Batchelors in Social Work at Mansfield University in 1989. Mary worked for CPS in Delaware and Loudoun County and married Greg on September 24th, 1994. Once she had children, Mary stepped back from her career to be a stay at home mom. She had since spent the last twelve years working for the Blue Ridge School District in numerous positions. Upon being diagnosed with a disease with a poor prognosis, Mary was determined to fight until the end. She was an inspiration to her family, friends, and really anyone she met. Despite her diagnosis, Mary continued to work, go camping, and spent as much time with her family as possible. Mary’s family would like to thank Dr. Ronald Harris and the Broome Oncology staff as well as Wilson Hospital for taking such good care of Mary over the last 18 months. In lieu of flowers, Mary’s family would like donations to be made to Columbia Hose Volunteer Ambulance of New Milford.
