Keith E. Vandeburg, 92, of Whitney Point, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 16, 2025, at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford, NY.
He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Betty Vandeburg; his sister and brother-in-law, Ramona and Robert McCall; his brother-in-law, Alan Reed; and daughter-in-law, Suzette Vandeburg.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Barbara; his sons Ronald (Kim), Robert (Cheryl), and Richard (Sharon), his daughter Kristie (Matthew); his sister Anne; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one niece and several nephews.
Keith had a deep love of the outdoors and enjoyed baseball, golf, hunting and most of all, spending time with his family. He came close to playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers but his opportunity was interrupted when he was drafted into the Army to serve in the Korean War. He dedicated much of his professional life to working as a furnace technician.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and loyal friend, and he will be deeply missed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate and dedicated staff of the Pine Unit at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford for the exceptional care and kindness that was given to Keith.
At this time, no services are planned. A private burial will be held for the family.
