She Continued With Her Schooling At Ithaca College School Of Nursing To Earn Her Degree As A Licensed Practical Nurse, Working At Norwich Hospital And Then Smith Corona. Though She Only Practiced Nursing A Few Years, She Kept Her Nursing License Active For Over 35 Years, In Case The Need For Her Services Ever Arose. They Worked Countless Hours, Together With Their Children, Building Mel Manasse & Son Auctioneers, One Of The Most Respected Auction Companies In NYS. Kathy Was The Backbone To The Family Auction Company And Did Everything With Class. She Accomplished The Work Of 15 People All Herself, And Was The Most Selfless Individual You Would Ever Meet. She Liked Being In The Background And Left Unnoticed, But It’s Hard To Not Notice The True Greatness She Was Made Of! Kathy Had A Love For The Auction Business and Was Inducted In To The New York State Auctioneers Association Hall Of Fame, And Took Great Pride In The Association - Holding Many Offices, And Raising Countless Dollars With Her Amazing Tole Painting Abilities.
Kathy’s Greatest Joy Was Her Amazing Family & Family-Friends, And Was A Mom To All - Young & Old. Kathy Especially Loved And Adored Her Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren To A Level That Was Like No Other. Kathy Touched The Lives Of So Many, And Was Respected To The Utmost Level Both Personally And Professionally; She Was Small In Stature, But Larger Than Life Itself, Known Within The Family As Sportsie, For The Known Fact That She Was Always A Good Sport.
