John P. Carroll

John P. Carroll, 90, of Homer, N.Y., passed away on Saturday January 10, 2026. He was born March 30, 1935 in Brooklyn N.Y. to Michael and Elsie Carroll. He was a devoted member of St. Stephen's Church in Marathon. Through all the years of hardwork and generosity he has been a blessing to many. He is survived by his daughters Sharon (Roger) Schiller of Watertown Wi., and Kathy (Chris) Sample of Conroe, Tx,; grandchildren Paul, Rachel and James; brothers George, Michael, and Bill; sister Elsie Poyer and many nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie, his parents Michael Carroll and Elsie Zelsnack Carroll and son Shawn Carroll.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday April 25th at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Marathon. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Whitney Point. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at St, Stephen's Catholic Church, Marathon.
