John A. Yannuzzi, 80, of Whitney Point, New York went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2026.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 58 years, his children David, Gregg (Christine), Jeffrey(Caitlin), and Kristen Simon(Rob), his grand-children Trevor, Leanna, Ian, Emma, Max, Ryan, and James, and several nieces and nephews.
John was a graduate of Johnson City High School, and Alfred University. He was a standout football player in both High School and College. He was named captain of the team at Johnson City, and was elected to the Southern Tier Athletic Conference team.
Most of his career was in the food industry, being employed by Campbells, Victory Markets, and River Valley Foods.
John was predeceased by his parents Jack and Caroline, and his siblings Rosemarie Rose, Joan Spalik, and Joseph Yannuzzi. Calling hours will be on Friday May 22 at Saint Patrick’s church in Whitney Point from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM. The rite of committal and burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City at 1:00pm.
