Joan M. Abbott

Joan M Abbott age 69 formally of Lisle NY, passed away on December 21, 2019. She was pre-deceased by her husband Lonnie K Abbott Sr and father Leo Taylor. She is survived by Son Lonnie ( Tracy) Abbott jr, and daughter Cindy( Edward) Conklin, and very special friend George Von Waldner (Florida). She has five grandsons Jarrod Abbott, Devon (Shelby)Abbott, Paul Watson, Lucas Abbott, Ryan Abbott. She also had two great grandsons, Zachary Abbott and Keegan Abbott. She is survived by her mother, Jean Boughton , and sister Judy Miller both of Florida. She also has several nieces, nephews and cousins.


Joan was a loving wife of Lonnie K Abbott Sr, husband of 37 years. She loved to cook and bake and was well known for her pies and baked goods. She was affectionatly know as the cookie gramma. Joan was a member of the Lisle Fire Dept ladies Auxillary and an early member of Lisle Med Team.


She enjoyed camping and fishing with Lonnie Sr and family as well as traveling. In her later years she moved to the warmth of Florida where she lived with companion George Von Wildner until her passing. Her and George got to spend her last years exploring the many theme parks and zoos around them that she was especially fond of. She will be missed by all who knew her.


In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in her memory can be made to Lisle Fire Dept, Ladies Auxillary.


Calling hours will be at Sunset memorial Services LLC 2659 Main Street Whitney Point, NY  Friday 1/10/20 630pm-830pm and Saturday 1/11/20 10am until service time at11am.
