Jennifer Gleis, 48, of Binghamton died peacefully at home after a long struggle with her health. She is pre-deceased by her mother, Cecile Gleis, and sister, Beth Gleis. She is survived by her children Francis Riso, with his girlfriend Brittany Passariello, Kay Petroro, and Eddie Petroro; her father and step-mother, David Gleis and MaryLou Kost; her brothers and their spouses, David and Lauren Gleis, Jason and Brett Gleis; and her sister and her spouse, Stephanie and Mark Cook.
Despite Jennifer’s continuous struggle with addiction as well as other numerous health problems, she never ceased to show extraordinary resolve and resiliency. While she felt she had a long way to go, she was proud of how far she’d come. Undeterred by countless obstacles on her journey, she was living proof that it’s never too late to change the path you’re on. Her love will live on through her children, of whom she was most proud, from now until forever. She is finally at peace, and she will be missed.
With respect to the current public health situation, her family has decided to forego formal services at this time, and will hold a memorial in her home town at a future date.
