Helen Deubler was called home to the Lord peacefully with her family by her side on April 16, 2023, at Mercy House of the Southern Tier.

Helen was born in Binghamton, NY to Ernest and Ellen Way. She raised five children while pursuing a career in nursing. Helen was a nurse at Binghamton General Hospital, Vestal Nursing Home and retired from Ideal Hospital. She spent her retirement crocheting, traveling with Milo and spending time with her loved ones.

She was predeceased by several loved ones: parents Ernest and Ellen Way, Milo Clough her lifelong partner, Francis Deubler the father of her children, siblings Alice, Dorothy, Mildred, Thelma, Beverly, Sandy and William, sons Rick and Lon Deubler, daughter Dee Ann Wilcox, son-in-law Rick Hoppes Sr, and great granddaughter Lilly Wilcox. We also anticipate her beloved dog Scruffy greeted her with kisses at the end of the Rainbow Bridge.

Helen is survived by her daughters Muriel (Kenneth Lewis) and Connie Hoppes-Keefer (Brian Keefer), daughter-in-law Susan Deubler, son-in-law William Wilcox, Sr. She is survived by seventeen grandchildren: Robin, Kelly, Chris (Julie), John (Jennifer), Corey (Suzi), Kathy (Tiny), Charlie (Jill), Patty, Stephen, Scott Sr (Jenn), Billy, Paul (Erica), Phillip (April), Michael (Amanda), Rick Jr. (Erin), Nicole (Bethany), Shannon (Matt). Helen was lovingly cared for by her great-granddaughter Natalie Hoppes (Alfonso) and is survived by forty other great-grandchildren and nineteen great-great-grandchildren, and special nephew Jack David Way.
