Gloria J. Poff

Gloria J. Poff, 76, of Glen Aubrey, NY passed away on Saturday July 24, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents Ernest (Joy) Mix and brother Tom Mix. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Joseph Poff, 2 sons, Ron (Amy) Poff, Michael (Shannon) Poff; 4 grandchildren, Greg, Justin, Josh, Caitlin, cousin John (Karen) Kohler, and many other loving family and friends. Gloria served as Chief of Staff to Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo for over 14 years, helping thousands of constituents and many local businesses, municipalities, and not-for-profits.  She will forever be remembered for her thoughtfulness and concern for others.  She was very proud of the many community grants she helped manage, but especially the ones for the Broome County Humane Society and Mercy House.  Gloria treasured spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, in Glen Aubrey and at the lake.  She loved attending Greg, Justin, and Josh’s sporting events, and sharing her family recipes with her granddaughter Caitlin to carry on in her memory.  The family will receive friends at Sunset Memorial Services LLC 2659 Main St. Whitney Point, NY 13862 Sunday August 1, 2021, from 3-7 PM. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Broome County Humane Society or Mercy House.
