Binghamton - Gerald R. (Dick) Lidell Jr., 83, formerly of Lisle, NY entered into the hands of the LORD on Tuesday March 16, 2021 after a long battle with COPD. Gerald was born on October 16th, 1937 to Gerald and Wanda Lidell of the town of Lapeer. Dick grew up on the family farm with his brother and 2 sisters, developing integrity and a strong work ethic which would later set the foundation for his career. He served in the United States Army from 1960-1963 and 4 years in the Army reserves receiving many accreditations. He was a past member of Point of Life Masonic Lodge receiving Mason of the Year Award in 1982. He enjoyed Wednesday afternoon cards with the guys and his Thursday and Sunday morning Breakfast groups. He was an avid reader, especially of novels and well known at the Library. He spent most of his career working for Penningroth Farm Supply as a Ski-Doo Snowmobile , Cub Cadet and Farm Machinery Mechanic, known counties wide for his talent. His affection for snowmobiling lead him to become one of the founding members of the Whitney Point Ridge Riders snowmobile club and a snowmobile safety instructor for youths. He was an active member of North Fenton United Methodist Church . Gerald was predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Wanda Lidell, in-laws William and Wanda Sears his wives Ina(Sears) Lidell , Jeannette Lidell and Life partner Saundra Kinsman, brother William Lidell, brother-in-law Louis Marks . He is survived by his son Mikel Lidell and wife Linda, grandson Nicholas ,sisters, Shirley Marks and Pat (Chuck) Gaylord , step children, Barry Weaver, Susan (Mark) Yetter, Robin (Ben) Pultorak; step grandchildren, Jeffrey, Danny, Brayton, many nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends, Ella Lane and Chris and Tami Kinsman. The family will receive friends at Sunset Memorial Services LLC 2659 main St. Whitney Point, NY Friday March 19, 2021 from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11 AM at Sunset Memorial Services LLC, burial will be in Center Lisle Cemetery with Military Honors.
