Gerald C. Jackson, 74, of Whitney Point, NY, passed away July 19, 2025. Gerry was
predeceased by his parents, Russell and Joyce Jackson; his brother Ralph Jackson; and
mother in-law Eloise Dauley.
Gerry is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 47 years, Yvonne; his sons Jeremy
(Lisa); Robert (Amanda), and Matthew (Leigh) Jackson, and six grandchildren: Courtney,
Lauren, Kacey, Austin, Jodie, and Mya. He is also survived by his sisters Marilyn (Jeff)
Mason and Linda Moore; and father in-law Ken Dauley. He is also survived by brothers and
sisters in-law as well as many special nieces and nephews.
Gerry was a 1969 graduate of Whitney Point High School and spent his life in the house
that he and Yvonne built together, raising a family and supporting the community coaching
Little League baseball for many years. Gerry ran Barnes Recreation for many years selling
and installing swimming pools, snowmobile parts, chain saws and even renting movies. He
then moved into the real-estate world first as an agent and eventually as a broker.
In his early years he enjoyed owning a dirt modified, spending most weekend nights around
a dirt track and his time in the winters selling and riding a Sno-Jet. Gerry loved golfing and
could be found Monday nights in the summer golfing at Fire Fox Resorts. He was an avid
fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants, even when the latter has been tough in
recent years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends at Sunset Memorial Services LLC, 2659 Main St., Whitney
Point on Friday, July 25th, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held at a
later date.
Donations in his memory can be made to the American Heart Association or St Jude
Children’s Hospital.
