George H. Meyer Jr., a dedicated farmer, died June 11, 2024. He was born January 23, 1937, the son of George Sr. and Hazel Meyer. Some of his important accomplishments were farming, being a chairperson and later responsible for incoming products to the CNY Maple Festival. He was a part of Cooperative Extension and proud to have been part of getting Camp Owata back open. George was preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Phyllis H. Lawrence of 51 years and a daughter Janice E. Meyer, his parents George Sr. and Hazel, a brother Raymond (Sonny) Martin, a sister Mary Margaret (Tootsie) Newman and brother-in-law Kevin Curley. He is survived by his son Orin (Lori) Meyer and a daughter Jesse (Howard) Shrauger, sisters Irene Curley and Janet (Jeff) Fornear. No services will be held. Donations in memory of George can be made to the CNY Maple Festival or MAVAC. Special Thanks to the crew at Misty Glenn.
