Gary L. Lindsey

Gary Lindsey, 82 of Endicott passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 7, 2023. He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Julia Materese Lindsey and brother David Lindsey. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Marilyn, his daughter Michelle and John Karedes and their children Danielle (Harrison Rosenburgh) Colella, Jake and Drew Karedes and his son Joseph and Amy Lindsey. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Louise Wasyln and Regina Lindsey and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was blessed with lifelong friendships including Ralph and Marge Serino, Gordon and Jereane Williams, the original West Corners Lions, the “Dunkin” crew and Arlene Allen. He was a graduate of UECSD Class of 1960 and a Vietnam veteran in the US Army. He was also a carpenter and retired from the UECSD. He was passionate about the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and loved Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis. Gary was an organ donor recipient and we would like to thank the donor whose generous gift allowed our family an additional seven and a half years with "Pop."   Calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 11:00am on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street Endwell with a funeral mass at 11:00am.
