Douglas W. Spicer 65 of Lisle, NY went to be with our Lord on February 11, 2025.
Born July 21, 1959 the son of Wayne Lewis Spicer and Joyce A. Butts.
Doug became an active member of the Killawog Fire Company in 1977 and later became an honorary member for a total service of 47 years.
Doug had many talents, from metal work to wood work, rebuilding and restoring tractors. He enjoyed painting, working on and rebuilding lawn mowers, as well as many other hobbies like camping, hunting and gardening. He liked spending time with family and teaching his only daughter Brianna how to build and repair things.
Doug was predeceased in death by his loving wife Carla J. Andrews, his parents Wayne L. Spicer and Joyce A. Butts, his niece Kelcie L. Spicer and a brother in law Michael Andrews.
He is survived by his Daughter Brianna Rose Spicer (Michael Doriott), a step daughter Jeanna (Alan) Lowry, a step son Justin Andrews, sisters Julie (Don) Pendell, Lori (Orin) Meyer, Patty (Tim) Shepard, and brother Bob (Cindi) Spicer, a brother in law Eric (Val) Andrews, 4 Grandchildren, many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 21st at the Killawog Methodist Church from 2-3 pm with the service to follow. Family and friends are invited to the Killawog Fire Station following the service.
In lieu of flowers a Memorial Fund to help with funeral expenses has been set up in Douglas's name at NBT Bank Marathon.
