Dorothy Ames Obituary

Our dear mother and grandmother went home with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 21, 2022 in her home surrounded by family after a long struggle with failing health. She was predeceased by her husband and best friend Donald, a grandson Josh VanDusen, her parents, her sister Shirley and brother Ralph. She is survived by son David, daughter Sheila (Jim), 3 grandsons; Tim, Bill and Chris and also five great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and one sister-in-law, Jane. Mom was retired from Security Mutual Life Insurance Company and was a member of the Whitney Point Methodist Church. She loved her Savior and family and devoted her life to being there for us always. Special thanks to two special nurses who helped care for her, Heather and Stephanie, also great-granddaughter, Dakota who took special care of her G.G.
