Donald B Jennison

Donald B. Jennison of Lapeer, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020. He is predeceased by his parents Robert & Christine Jennison, his wife Bonnie Jean (Kurtz) Jennison, a brother Carl Jennison, his stepson Scott Arends, and his faithful dog, Dutch. He is survived by his wife Donna (Ingraham) Jennison; Brother – Keith Jennison; Children - Tamara & James Barrows, John & Carole Jennison, Deanne & Fred Morrison, Chrissie & Dennis Askew; Nephew – Lindsay (Sandy) Hubbard; Step Children - LauraLee Whitefox, Kris & John Robinson;  Grandchildren - Jamie, Shanna (Brown) & Jesse Barrows, Khyle, Davey, Taylor & Brooklin (Armstrong) Jennison, Brendan & Kaitlyn Morrison, Sara, Jason & Hannah Askew, JessicaLee (Teal) & Andy Arends, Sean Arends, Derek & Heather (Rutherford) Cross; Great grandchildren – Noelani & Taiya, Jude, Waylon, Ellee, HaLee & Tommy, Kalli & Ava, Robbie & Brianna.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all held a special place in his heart.

Don graduated in 1956, served in the US Navy, and retired from the NYSDOT.  After retirement, Don and Donna volunteered for 10 years as Disaster Relief Volunteers with the American Red Cross. Don found peace in nature.  He was an avid sports fan who loved coaching and cheering on his family and friends.  He showed true kindness and sincere compassion to everyone.  He truly made this world a better place.
