Don W. Garcia

Don Wallace Garcia I, 66, of Whitney Point, passed peacefully at home on September 27th 2021. Don was born on June 19th 1955 in San Francisco CA. He is predeceased by his parents Wallace and Georgia Garcia, his father (in law) Raymond Winters, and close friend Jeff Cartwright. Don is survived by his loving children Katie-Marie (Josh) Garcia, Rosanna (Cosimo) Summa, Don Wallace Garcia II, and Alexandra (Bre) Garcia, grandchildren that he adored Madison (Tori) Randall, Dakota Summa, McKenzie Summa, Mariah Summa, Trenton Decker, Baylee Decker, Aiden Summa, and Declan Summa. Don is also survived by his close friends turned family Michael Hildebrandt, Jeff (Lori) Smith, Ron (Alice) Lew, Eric (Arlene) Gorton, Bill Craig, Annie Craig, Bill (Ginny) Novy and the entire Novy family. Don's family and friends were his greatest accomplishments and he loved them all dearly. He fondly enjoyed summers with nieces and nephews and loved getting everyone together for Garciafest. Don had a career as a Fire Alarm Technician, responsible for many of their systems used at nearby colleges and hospitals and he was known nationally in his craft. A true handyman, gardener, jack of all trades, he left his mark wherever he went. At Don's wishes there will be no services. His children plan to host a party next year to celebrate Don's amazing life. In lieu of flowers, family requests you plant a tree, a garden, or make a donation to your favorite charity.
