Christy Lynn Mann
February 24th, 1961 - March 16th, 2025
Christy Lynn (Finch) Mann, 64, of Binghamton, NY departed from us peacefully for Heaven, at home in the early morning hours of March 16th, 2025. She was predeceased by her loving husband William Mann, her mother Marjorie J. Finch, brother William Franklin Finch, Jr., and sister Jennie A. Sutton. She is survived by her father William Franklin Finch; her children Jack Williams Jr., Christopher (Nicole) Williams, Dustin (Leanne) Williams, Jerami (Sally) Manning, and Lacey (Patrick) Reardon; her siblings Laurie D. (Ed) Yarnell, Craig E. Finch and Jeffery S. Finch; grandchildren Mackenzie, Christopher, Addelynn, Nicholas, William, Lilly, and Thomas; and her beloved pug CC.
Born on February 24th, 1961 in Binghamton, she attended Chenango Valley School District for most of her childhood. While working twenty plus years at Jane’s diner, she made quite an impact on her coworkers and customers. She touched many people’s lives during her time there. She was known as “Mammafluff” and was very quickwitted. Christy will forever be remembered as the owner of Christy’s Diner, where she lived out her dream of starting her own diner beginning in 2018. Her infectious energy was cherished by all that entered her diner, with a laugh and smile that was unmistakable. Known for her humorous spirit and passion for cooking that never left anyone hungry. She also was an avid NASCAR fan and dog lover. She loved the sunshine and being outdoors. She was fiercely loving, from her family to her customers. Christy loved visits from her children, grandchildren and spending time with her pug while drinking an ice cold rolling rock. Christy will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing she is joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, Bill, and many cherished loved ones who have gone before her. Her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Friends and family are asked to attend a celebration of life at her diner on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a small donation in her honor to either the Broome County Humane Society or the Disabled American Veterans, both of which she proudly supported.
