Cheryl "Sherry" M. Rice

Cheryl Rice, “Sherry”  72, of Chenango Forks passed away Sunday, July 8th after a short battle with cancer.   She is predeceased by her parents, Robert & Hilda Mathews, her In-laws, Coonie & Laura Rice and her beloved husband  Jack.  Sherry is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Christine Rice of Cortland and  Linda and Paul English of Lisle.  Sherry is also survived by two granddaughters, Constance & James Gehm of Cortland and Hillary English (Jason Hartwick) of Lisle.  She is also survived by her two great grandsons, Daymian Gehm and Jason Hartwick, Jr. as well as many cousins and friends. Sherry retired from the Whitney Point School District in 2004.  In her retirement, Sherry found many new friends and special co-workers as a Clerk for the United States Postal Service.  Now you can ride with Daddy again. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11 AM from Sunset Memorial Services, 2659 Main Street, Whitney Point, NY with Rev. Bruce Glazier officiating.  Interment will follow in the Willet Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Sunset Memorial Services on Thursday, July 12th from 6-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, Dept. 41831, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, Texas   75265. Arrangements are in the care of James Shara.
