Cathy J. Ames

Cathy J. Ames, 67 of Lisle, New York lost her long-fought battle with head and neck cancer on November 8, 2024.  She is now reunited with her parents, Robert “Bob” Ames and Doris H. Ames, brother Terry Y. Ames, loving sister Karen Dunham Hand, and special nephew Jason M. Dunham as well as many loved aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Cathy was a proud and loving mother and grandmother, long time (46 yrs) owner/operator of our loved, local bar, The Lisle Inn.  Cathy was loved by many and a friend to all whether she knew you for a day or for many, many years.  She loved going to wineries, casinos, camping, trips to the Adirondacks and cruises with her friends and family.

Cathy is survived by her loving children, Lindsey (Pat) Ames, Cody (Jennifer Kay) Ames and her pride and joy grandson, Theo Ames.  Brother, Rob (Crystal) Ames and sister-in-law Brenda Ames, brother in law Jack Dunham and Donald Hand.  Nieces and nephews, Jill Dunham, Kevin (Liya) Dunham, Keith (Amanda) Dunham, Tyler (Kristen) Ames, Robert (Angel) Ames, Kyle (Katie) Ames, Sara (Bailey) Ames, Marissa Ames and many great nieces and nephews.  As well as many special friends that she considered family.

A benefit was previously planned for Sunday, November 17th 1-5pm at the Lisle Fire Station.  This will be transitioned to a celebration of life for Cathy.  Donations at the door will be accepted but not required. Raffles and other entertainment will continue as planned.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the benefit.
