Catherine L. Keep

Catherine L Keep of Lisle, NY passed to be with the LORD on Sunday, November 21st, 2021 surrounded by her Loving partner and best friend, Skip as well as all of her children. She was predeceased by her Parents, David and Francis Wall; Her Brother Charles Springer; and Her Grandson, Kaden Hughes. She is survived by the love of her life and best friend of 22 years, Thaddeus (Skip) Keep as well as her Children; Sean Walsh of Lisle, NY; Eric (Wendy) Hughes of Lisle, NY; Joel Hughes of Binghamton, NY; Ryan Hughes of Richford, NY; Ashley Keep, Cortland, NY; and Thaddeus (Tatiana) Keep Jr. of Whitney Point, NY. Her Siblings Donna Mooney of Binghamton, NY; Robert (Mary) Springer of Binghamton, NY; James (Shari) Springer of Binghamton, NY; Peg (Butch) Springstead; and David (Beth) Wall of Binghamton, NY. She is also survived by the light of her life, her grandchildren; Brandon Pittsley, Haiden Gates, Laci Gates, Aubrey Hughes, Elijah Walsh, Keira Walsh, Arabella Hughes, Nathan Walsh, Thaddeus Keep III, and Trysten Keep. Also surviving is countless nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Cathy was a lifetime member of the Lisle Fire Company and Med Team. She devoted her life to community service, serving as med captain for both Lisle Med Team and the Whitney Point Fire Department Med Team. Cathy was always there for the community, taking part in many fundraisers and benefits throughout the years. She strongly believed in community service, and we are blessed that she passed that passion on to us. She fought very bravely with Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis. In the face of such a difficult path, she always had a smile and never gave up. She showed us how to face challenges with grace and dignity and truly was #CathyStrong.

We would like to thank her medical team, Lourdes Hospital, UHS Wilson Hospital, Strong Memorial Hospital (especially the SICU 8-3600 team) as well as all the friends and family who helped her to get to appointments, keep her company during her stays in the hospital, and all of the love and prayers that kept her spirits high.

We will be honoring Cathy on Tuesday, November 30th at 11:30 at the Lisle Fire Company, 9090 Main Street, Lisle, NY 13797. Calling hours from 11:30 to 2:30, with Memorial Service to follow and luncheon at the Fire Hall. The family is also providing a blank picture board for anyone who would wish to bring a photo memory of Cathy to share.

In lieu of flowers it was Mom’s wish to use her last act to once again give to others in the form of donations to either the Lisle Fire Company or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
