Alice Aleksandra Mesceda

Alice Mesceda 97, of Whitney Point passed away on Sunday April 30, 2023.  She is predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Dick; daughter-in-law, Joni, parents Benny (Mary) Porgorzelski; brother Stan (Dot) and sister Helen (Rudy) Turan, brother-in-law Harold, and nephews, Ronald and David.

She is survived by her children, Mike, Mark and Mary (Mike), sister Agnes, granddaughter Dawn (Travis), several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Alice’s pride was her family.  We are grateful for her instilling in us to always have a caring heart and a strong work ethic.  Her hands were never idle – she had many jobs to list a few: Caretaker of Riverside Cemetery, Dog Control Officer, Deputy Town Clerk and Historian for the Town of Triangle, and her own lawn care business.   Her favorite was to be on the family farm taking care of the animals and maintaining the farmland.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday May 4, 2023 at 1PM at St. Stephen - St Patrick’s Catholic Church Community -  59 Keibel Road, Whitney Point.  In lieu of flowers, Alice’s wish is “Do something nice for someone”.
