Albert N. Shrauger

Albert N. Shrauger, 88 of Lisle, NY passed away at his home on February 11, 2022, surrounded by his children.  He was born September 19, 1933 in Penn Yan, NY and was predeceased by his parents Anna and Fred Shrauger, as well as his siblings Florence, Ruth, Pauline, Fred, Raymond, Anna Mae, Robert, Richard (infant death) and Carolyn.

Surviving Albert are his children, Linda (Steve) Burghardt, Eileen (Richard) Taylor, Glenda (Tim) Lown, Rebecca (Martin) Foran, Timothy (Lori) Shrauger; grandchildren Briana, Kylie, Jeffrey, Krishel, Aaron, Taylor, Marquis, Davontee, Ashley, Victoria, Sierra and Benjamin; great-grandchildren Nylah, Moira, Athena, Hazel Ann, Everett, Miles, Charles, Franklin, Daniel, Hunter, Abigail, Jackson and Avery along with several nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by the mother of his five children, Winogene (Gormel) Shrauger.

Albert worked for many years as a dairy farmer before starting to manufacture hay wagons and feeder boxes. His most recent business venture was the establishment of Midway Sales in Lisle, NY.  Albert loved to sit on his porch swing, tag along on deliveries, take naps in the office, listen to music in the showroom, maintain the pond, water wheel and lawn, as well as strike up a friendly conversation with customers.  Albert was a visionary, and successfully turned his ideas into reality with his adept skills on a tractor, fork lift or bull dozer.

We want to thank the care givers who lovingly helped provide home care for the past 2 years.

Per Albert’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.  In honor of one of Albert’s most recent pride and joys, we invite friends and family to his celebration of life on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Midway Sales, located at 3106 Route 11, Lisle, NY.
