Her passing saddens the family of Carol Ann Eaton. Carol was born on May 5, 1942 to Lester and Althea Eaton. She lived on Eaton Hill before settling on the family farm on Pagebrook Road.
Carol attended SUNY Albany upon graduation from High School in Whitney Point, NY. Carol was a member of the Class of 1964 (The Yellow Jackets) with a double Major in History & French, and she was a sister in Psi Gamma Sorority (the oldest on campus). Carol was very active in student affairs, having served as Cabinet Minister of Sororities/Fraternities in Student Government her Senior year, as well as Co-Associate Editor of the 1964 TORCH yearbook, and an active participant in a variety of other activities. She earned her Master's at Ohio State University and her Doctorate at Boston University. Her career in Education began in the classroom, where it also ended after 2 retirements from Superintendencies (Mass. and Whitney Point, NY) and a stint at Binghamton University, where she supervised student teacher interns and taught Educational Law to school principals..
Her family will miss their beloved Carol. Her sister-in-law Barbara; her nephews Michael, David, and Daniel Eaton; her niece Karen Eaton; several great nephews and nieces; and several cousins survive Carol.
He parents Lester and Althea, and her brother Lawrence Eaton preceded Carol in death.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 8th, at 1:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Services LLC 2659 Main St. Whitney Point, NY 13862. Arrangements are in the care of James Shara.
